Fernandotel is a turn-based multi-player game that's played by one player at a time. The goal is to kill as many of your fellow players as possible. This is typical of what BBS deathmatch games looked like in the 1980's.

On the main menu, you (P)ick a target from a list of living players. You must then kill that target in the motel before choosing another. You're given a fixed number of moves per day to accomplish this. Moves reset at midnight UTC every day.

Kills are accomplished by using a weapon assembled from two pieces. As long as both pieces of the weapon are in your inventory, you can use it to try to kill. Each weapon pair also has a defense. If you try to kill a target while they have the appropriate defense in their inventory, the kill will fail.

Each time you move to a different room in the motel, one move point is deducted. Additionally, the action of picking up or dropping an item also uses one move.

From the main menu you can also (S)queal on your other players, which will broadcast their location to everyone else playing. Squeals may or may not be true. You receive 20 bonus moves for posting a truthful squeal, and it costs 20 moves for an untruthful squeal.

Good luck, live long and prosper, have fun, happy hunting!
